Fraudulent Use of Our Name
How to check whether a message, recruitment approach, invoice or other communication claiming to come from us is genuine.
Effective date 31 August 2026
Protect yourself from impersonation
Marketing Parasite is the trading name of Marketing Parasite Ltd, registration number CS ** 9** *4**.
Our name, logo, founder’s identity, website or public profiles may be copied or referred to by someone who has no connection with us. A professional-looking message, social profile, invoice or document is not proof that it came from Marketing Parasite Ltd.
This notice gives you a simple way to verify us before you send money, share account access, accept a job offer or act on an unusual request.
1. Our primary official channels
Website marketingparasite.com
Commercial email info@marketingparasite.com — enquiries, proposals, partnerships and recruitment
Formal email support@marketingparasite.com — legal, privacy, data-rights and reports that our name is being misused
Phone +233 50 716 6102
WhatsApp +233 50 716 6102
Growth-call booking reached through our official website and our approved Cal.com booking route.
We use two email addresses and they do different work. A genuine message from us may come from either one. If a message reaches you from some other address at this domain, that on its own does not make it ours, and it should be verified through support@marketingparasite.com before you act on it.
A message using our name but a different domain, telephone number or payment instruction should be independently verified through support@marketingparasite.com before you act.
2. Our official company social profiles
Our company profiles are
- Bluesky — bsky.app/profile/marketingparasite.bsky.social
- TikTok — tiktok.com/@marketing.parasite
- Pinterest — pinterest.com/marketingparasite/
- LinkedIn — linkedin.com/company/marketingparasite/
- Threads — threads.com/@marketingparasite
- Quora — quora.com/profile/Marketing-Parasite
- Reddit — reddit.com/user/marketing_parasite
- X — x.com/market_parasite
- Facebook — facebook.com/profile.php?id=61592536515650
A copied profile photograph, logo, display name or screenshot is not verification. Check the actual profile address.
If a commercial request comes from a personal social-media profile, verify it through our official email before making a payment, sharing sensitive access or relying on the request.
3. Things we will not ask you to do
Marketing Parasite Ltd will not
- ask for your mobile-money PIN, bank-card PIN, one-time password or authentication code;
- ask you to weaken or disable your security controls so that we can access an account;
- require you to buy links, fake reviews, gated reviews or unlawfully obtained personal data as part of our service;
- require client-owned advertising spend, domain fees, hosting fees, software subscriptions, message credits, influencer fees or similar third-party costs to be disguised as part of our agency fee; or
- charge a person simply to apply for a job, attend an interview or receive a genuine recruitment offer from us.
Where we need access to a client platform, we prefer the platform’s own user invitation, administrator or partner-access system instead of asking the client to surrender control of the account.
4. Payment and invoice checks
Do not rely on payment details contained in an unexpected message simply because the document contains our name or logo.
If bank, mobile-money or other payment details change unexpectedly, verify the change using a channel you already know is genuine, preferably support@marketingparasite.com or +233 50 716 6102, before sending funds.
For third-party platform costs such as advertising spend, hosting, domains, licences and message credits, our normal rule is that the client owns the account and pays the provider directly wherever reasonably possible.
5. Recruitment checks
A genuine recruitment process connected to Marketing Parasite should be capable of being verified through our official domain.
We will not require an applicant to pay an application fee, interview fee, training deposit, equipment-release fee, visa fee or other charge in order to receive a genuine job opportunity from us.
If a recruiter using our name asks for money, OTPs, banking credentials or sensitive identity documents through an unverified channel, do not proceed until you have independently checked the request with us.
6. If you receive a suspicious message
- Do not send money or sensitive credentials.
- Do not use the contact details in the suspicious message to verify the same message. Return to our official website or use the channels listed here.
- Preserve evidence such as the sender address, telephone number, profile URL, invoice, message headers and screenshots.
- Tell us at support@marketingparasite.com so we can assess whether our name is being misused.
- Where appropriate, report the matter to your bank/payment provider, the relevant platform and the competent law-enforcement or cybersecurity authority.
7. What this notice does and does not mean
We do not name alleged impersonators here because a third party’s conduct must be established on evidence, not assumption.
This notice describes our own genuine channels and practices so that you can test a suspicious approach against something we control.
