Part of Websites & Conversion The build itself

A web design company in Ghana, building sites that turn visitors into enquiries.

The structure is settled before anything is drawn, and the site is tested on the phones your customers actually use. The build ends on a date you can point to.

When your website is the reason nothing converts

Your business is being found, or you are paying for it to be found. People arrive. Then the site takes over.

The ads did their job. The search result did its job. The site is where the money stops.

What breaks
  • It loads slowly on the phones your customers actually use.

  • The thing they came to do is three confusing clicks off.

  • There is no working way to ask a question at the moment they want to ask it.

What this work is part of

Marketing Parasite is a web design company in Ghana, and web design sits inside the Websites & Conversion foundation, the part of the work that turns attention into enquiries, appointments, bookings and orders. This service covers the build itself.

The build is prescribed rather than ordered off a menu. The audit decides how much site a business actually needs, and the answer is sometimes less than you arrived expecting. That is the difference between this and most web design agencies here, where you choose a package first and find out afterwards what it left out.

Part of Websites & Conversion

What a website has to do in Ghana

Three quarters of this country is online and under a quarter of it is on social media. That is DataReportal's Digital 2026 Ghana report, and you can go and check it. It counts 26.3 million internet users, 74.6% of the population, against 8.59 million social media user identities, 24.4%. A profile on a platform reaches the smaller room. The site is the one address that reaches the larger one.

What the site is usually not is a shop counter. Statista and ecDB put online retail at 0-5% of total retail in Ghana for 2025. For most businesses here the website's job is to be the credible answer when somebody who has already heard of you looks you up, and to make asking a question take one tap instead of three.

It is also read on a phone, and on both kinds of phone. StatCounter's Ghana figures for August 2026 put Android at 66.52% and iOS at 33.44%, so a site checked on one handset quietly fails a third of the market. The same source puts Facebook at 64.83% of the social referral traffic into Ghanaian sites, which means many visitors arrive deep inside the site from a link in a feed or a chat rather than on your homepage. Every part of it has to stand on its own.

What you get from a web design company in Ghana

Four things come out of the engagement, and each of them is named here rather than assumed.

  • A site whose structure is decided before anything is drawn

Discovery and site architecture come first. What the site is for, who arrives, what they came to do, and how the site is organised so they can do it. A site drawn before those answers exist is decoration.

  • The build itself

Design and build, done as one job by the people who planned it. That includes on-site SEO foundations, so the site is built findable rather than retrofitted later.

  • A launch date, not a launch hope

Accessibility and performance QA before launch, on Android and iOS handsets rather than on a designer's laptop. The site is checked against how real customers will use it, on real connections, before anyone outside the team sees it. The date is met because the work was planned to meet it, not because the calendar ran out.

  • A published finish line

The build ends with 30 days of post-launch defect fixes. You know when the project is done, and you know exactly what happens if something breaks the week after it goes live.

How a website build runs, and where it ends

The work starts before the design does, and it ends on a date that is published rather than discovered.

Discovery and site architecture

What the site must do and how it is organised, settled before anything is drawn.

Design and build

Built to that plan, with on-site SEO foundations in place from the start.

Accessibility and performance QA

Before launch, rather than after someone reports it.

Launch

The site goes live.

Thirty days of post-launch defect fixes

Inside this window, defects are ours. After it, maintenance, updates and security are a care plan or retainer, agreed separately, so nobody is surprised by either the bill or its absence.

This one is an ending.

What you need ready before a website build starts

A build stalls on access far more often than it stalls on design. These are worth finding before the first meeting rather than during week three.

The logins. The domain registrar account and the hosting account, in your name. If the last developer holds them and no longer answers, say so on the call. Recovering a domain is doable and it takes weeks rather than days, so it goes at the front of the schedule instead of the end.

The real material. Your logo in the file it was drawn in, not a screenshot of it. The list of what you offer, in the words you use for it. Photographs of the actual premises, product or team. Stock images of somebody else's office are the fastest way to look like every other site in your sector.

One person who can approve. Structure decisions are cheap in week one and expensive in week six. A build moves at the speed of whoever is allowed to say yes.

Your legal text. The privacy and terms notices are your own commitments, so those words come from you or your lawyer. We implement them.

What is out of scope

Some boundaries, stated before you ask rather than in a proposal after.

Out of scope

Domain and hosting fees

You hold these and you pay for them. We configure them.

Maintenance after the 30-day window

Updates, security and ongoing changes past the first 30 days are a care plan or a retainer.

Custom application or backend development

Software built for your business is a different kind of project, scoped and priced on its own.

Bulk catalogue data entry

Loading products beyond an agreed item count is priced separately rather than absorbed quietly.

Legal text

You supply the words. We implement them.

A refusal, not a boundary The words in your privacy and terms notices are your business's own legal commitments, and writing them for you would mean writing your liability. We will not do it, and an agency that offers to should worry you.

What stays yours

Your domain and your hosting sit in your own account, paid by you, configured and managed by us. That is one instance of a rule that covers everything paid to a third party. It is yours, and we never buy it on your behalf or mark it up.

  • Your domain
  • Your hosting
  • Anything else paid to a third party
Held to these

What we put in writing

We are new, and there is no portfolio wall here. No engagement has been documented with consent yet, and we will not invent one. What we offer instead are commitments you could hold us to by the end of the first week.

Who does the work

Two parties do this work, and the line between them is published here rather than discovered in a handover.

Discovery, the site architecture and the decision about what the site must do are the founder's own work, and so is the final pass before anything goes live. Visual design and front-end build execute on a vetted delivery network under his quality control. Nobody is handed your project as a brief and left to interpret it.

Founder

Kwasi Wiafe Kwapong

He runs the discovery himself and settles the site architecture before anything is drawn.

Who should commission a new website, and who should not

A rebuild is the expensive answer, and it is not always the right one. Three things on each side decide it, and you can usually tell which side you are on before the call.

Commission a rebuild

When there is nothing usable underneath.

  1. There is no site, or nothing worth keeping

No site at all, and every enquiry living in a WhatsApp thread you cannot search.

  2. Nobody can edit it

The person who built it has gone, and the site went with them.

  3. The structure follows your org chart

It organises everything the way your business is organised internally rather than the way a customer looks for things. Structure is the one thing tuning cannot fix. If it is wrong, it gets rebuilt.

Do not commission one

When the site is not the thing that is broken.

  1. People already arrive, and then leave

The site is found and the problem is what happens next. That is conversion rate optimisation, a separate service, and it costs less than a rebuild.

  2. Nobody knows you exist

A new site with no audience pointed at it changes nothing, and the money belongs in being found first.

  3. Somebody else set the launch date

We will not skip the QA gate to meet it. If the date cannot move, we are the wrong firm and you should hear that now.

Questions we get asked before a website build

The ones that come up before anyone signs anything, and the first three are the ones this market searches for hardest.

What does a website cost in Ghana?

Nothing is priced before the audit. What drives the cost is what the audit finds. How much site there actually needs to be, whether a structure already exists or has to be worked out from scratch, and whether anything has to be built rather than configured. A figure named before that examination is a guess, and you are the one who pays when a guess turns out wrong.

Why not just give me a price range?

Because a range wide enough to be honest is too wide to be useful, and a range narrow enough to be useful is not honest yet. An agency that quotes on a first call is either padding the number to stay safe, or finding the real one later and putting it in your invoice.

Can I get a cheap website instead?

You can get a cheap website anywhere in Ghana. What makes one cheap is usually the part you cannot see. No discovery, no structure settled before the design, no accessibility or performance check, and nobody responsible the week after launch. We do not compete on that, and you will hear it on the call rather than afterwards.

Will it work properly on a phone, and can people message us from it?

Both are build requirements here rather than extras. The site is checked on Android and iOS handsets before launch, not on a designer's laptop, and a WhatsApp route from the site is normal in this market so we build one in. What we will not do is make WhatsApp the only way to reach you, because a form records where the enquiry came from and a chat thread does not.

Do you build online stores?

Yes. Product listings, cart and checkout are part of a build when the audit says the business needs them. Two boundaries are named up front. Bulk catalogue data entry beyond an agreed item count is out of scope, and so is custom backend or application development.

How long does a build take?

The written itemised scope arrives within 5 business days of starting and it states the dates. The build then ends on a published finish line rather than a discovered one, and 30 days of post-launch defect fixes follow it. The date holds because the scope was written to hold it, not because the QA was cut short to reach it.

Who owns the domain and the hosting?

You do, in your own account, paid by you. We configure and manage what you own. That holds for everything paid to a third party, and none of it is ever billed through us or marked up.

What website design costs in Ghana

Nothing is priced before the audit.

The audit examines your current digital state and produces a written itemised scope and the fee that matches it, together. A price named before that examination is a guess, and you are the one who pays when a guess turns out wrong.

What moves the number on a build — how much site there genuinely needs to be rather than how much the old one had, whether a structure exists already or has to be worked out from nothing, whether anything has to be built rather than configured, whether products and their variants have to be loaded, and how much of the access and material above you already hold. Two sites of the same size can differ by a multiple on those points alone.

If the audit shows the work cannot justify the fee, we say so and decline. The pricing explains what drives cost across every service and quotes nothing, on purpose.
