The check you never see happen

Before anyone calls you, they check you.

You never see the ones who stopped. The business only ever meets the buyers who liked what they found, which means the checking surface is quietly deciding how many customers you get to talk to at all.

What they do
  • They search the name.

  • They read what strangers wrote.

  • They glance at the profile with the map and the hours, and decide whether to keep going.

What this work is part of

This service is online reputation management in Ghana, and it means one thing here. Search results, reviews, directory listings and social mentions. Not offline crisis communications, not press handling, not media training.

Marketing Parasite is an online reputation management company in Ghana, and Reputation Management is one of the four services inside its Digital Authority programme, which builds a business that gets found, trusted, and chosen.

Most reputation management companies in Ghana offer a plan for the day something goes wrong. This service spends most of its time on the ordinary week instead. Knowing what is being said, and keeping the record a buyer checks accurate while nothing is on fire.

Part of Digital Authority

What you get from online reputation management in Ghana

Three things, and one of them is a surface most businesses fill in once and never look at again.

Earned coverage arrives on this surface too. Digital PR, a separate service in this programme, earns new mentions and citations through outreach; this service tends the record those mentions land in. One earns coverage, the other keeps what a buyer finds when they check accurate and in order.

  • Reputation monitoring

Systematically watching what is said about your business and where, so nothing is discovered months late by a customer instead of by you. Monitoring means knowing, soon after it is said, what was said, where, and by whom.

  • Google Business Profile setup and optimisation

The profile with your map pin, hours, photos and reviews is the first thing many buyers check and the surface search engines show them first. This service sets it up properly, keeps it complete, accurate and current, and treats it as the working asset it is rather than a form filled in once.

  • Honest review generation

Real customers, asked at the moment they are pleased, through a route short enough that they finish it. No incentive, no reward, and no filter that shows the review door only to the ones likely to be kind. It is the one legitimate lever on a review surface, and most businesses here have never pulled it.

What a Ghanaian buyer actually checks

Three quarters of Ghana is on the internet and under a quarter is on social media, 74.6% against 24.4%, on DataReportal's Digital 2026 Ghana figures. The person deciding whether to call you is far more likely to be reading a search result than scrolling a feed, which is why this service starts where the searching happens rather than where the posting does.

What they find there is usually thin. In Mission Sign's The State of Digital Marketing in Ghana 2026, a self-published survey of 327 Ghanaian business owners, 39% said their business holds fewer than ten Google reviews. That is one agency's survey and not a national statistic, and we say so rather than dress it up. Take it as the shape of the thing, not the measurement.

Thin cuts both ways. A near-empty record is easy to distort, because one angry customer carries weight against four reviews that they would never carry against forty. It is also unusually easy to improve, and that is the part most owners have simply never been shown.

One correction to that search-first picture. Facebook still sends 64.83% of the social referral traffic arriving at Ghanaian sites, on StatCounter's August 2026 Ghana figures. A comment thread there is part of the record, and it is watched as part of the record.

What we will not do to a review

No incentivised or gated reviews, at any price. Incentivised means paid for, rewarded, or discounted into existence. Gated means filtering customers first and showing the review door only to the ones likely to be kind.

We do neither, ever, because both produce the same defect, a review surface that measures the incentive instead of the business. Asking a real customer for an honest review is fine, and we help you do it properly. Manufacturing the answer is the thing we refuse, and the refusal is what keeps the surface we tend worth a buyer's trust.

What no one can promise about what stays published

Review platforms and publishers decide what remains on their own sites. We do not promise to remove, suppress or bury negative content, because that promise belongs to whoever hosts the content, and anyone promising it is promising a decision that is not theirs.

What monitoring buys you is time and knowledge. You find out early, while a response is still worth something.

Who this is for, and who should fix something else first

This is for you if people already search your name. A clinic, a hotel, a law firm, a car dealer, a school — anywhere the buyer is choosing between two or three businesses and the choosing happens before anyone picks up a phone. If enquiries arrive and the good ones stall without a reason, what they read on the way in is a fair suspect.

It is also for you if something is already out there. A complaint under a Facebook post, a one-star review with a story attached, an old article that ranks above your own site. You cannot unpublish it. You can find it the week it appears rather than the month you lose a deal to it.

It is not for you if nobody is looking yet. Where nothing points at your name, tending the record is tending an empty room, and the money should go first into being findable at all. That is search engine optimisation, and we will say so rather than hand you this.

It is not for you if what you want is a deletion. Read the section above again before you enquire. We do not offer removal, and the firms that do offer it cannot deliver it either. If the rest of this describes you, book a growth call and we will look at your name together.

How an engagement runs

Four steps, and you hold the document the last three are judged against before any of them begins.

The audit, and a documented baseline of the record

As it stands, before anyone touches it.

A written itemised scope, within 5 business days

What we are doing, in what order, and what we expect it to change.

The work runs in that order

What an engagement does about any specific finding is set by that scope, not promised in advance.

A written report, every month

Judged against the scope, and it says what did not move as well as what did.

How you will know the record is improving

The first thing that moves is what you know. Inside the first month you stop being the last to hear. That is not a rating or a ranking; it is a list of where your name appears and what it says there, which nobody in your business had before.

Next comes the record itself. Listings that disagree with each other get reconciled. The hours, the address, the phone number, the name spelled the same way in every place that carries it. It is dull work, and its plainest virtue is that you can check it yourself the same day.

Reviews move last, and slowly. They arrive one honest customer at a time, because that is the only way we will let them arrive. A steady trickle of honest reviews is a good month. A sudden burst is a bought month, and it eventually costs you the platform.

A bad month appears in the report too. If something negative ranked and stayed ranked, the monthly report says so, says what was tried, and says what changes next. No report from us opens with the number that happens to flatter it.

Who does the work

The judgement calls are most of this service. What earns a public reply, what is better left alone, and what is not worth answering at all in a room where the answer is permanent. Those stay with the founder. The routine underneath them runs on a vetted delivery network under his quality control.

The proof is founder proof, not an agency track record — three years of hands-on practice, a Google Analytics certification through Google Skillshop, and continuing training in Google Search Console and Google Analytics, the tools this surface is measured with. Sector experience is stated by sector, never by name — airport concierge services, dual citizenship and immigration services, third-party vehicle licensing and registration services, e-commerce retail, and large-scale food distribution.

Founder

Kwasi Wiafe Kwapong

He decides what gets a public response and what is better left alone, and he writes the difficult replies himself.

Monitoring sweeps, listing corrections and drafting run on a vetted delivery network under his quality control.

The standards this surface is held to, and the judgement about what to do with a finding, stay with him.

Held to these

What we put in writing

We are new, and no rating, review count or before-and-after appears here, for this business or anyone else's. No engagement has been documented with consent yet. For a reputation service that is the point rather than an embarrassment, because the alternative was to manufacture the very thing this service refuses to manufacture for you.

Questions we get asked about reputation management

The ones that come up before anyone signs anything, answered the way they are answered on a call.

Can you remove a bad review from Google?

No, and nobody can honestly promise you that. The platform decides what stays on its own site. Where a review breaks the platform's own published rules we report it and follow it up, and that is a request, not a result.

Can you get me more reviews?

Yes, by asking real customers at the moment they are pleased and making the asking short enough to finish. Never paid for, never rewarded, and never filtered so that only the happy ones are shown the door.

Someone has posted something untrue about my business. What can you actually do?

Find it early, help you write the reply that other readers will judge you by, report it where the platform's own rules cover it, and make the accurate account of your business easier to find than the inaccurate one.

Is this the same thing as digital PR?

No. Digital PR goes out and earns new mentions and citations. This service tends the record those mentions land in, including the parts of it you never asked for.

Do I have to write the replies myself?

We draft, you approve, and the reply is posted from your own account. The account stays yours, and so does the last word on anything that names a customer.

How long before what people find changes?

We do not put a date on that, because the platforms and publishers involved answer to nobody here. What we can date is the first report, one month in, which tells you what moved and what did not.

What does reputation management cost?

Nothing is priced before the audit. The audit looks at what is actually published about you, and the scope and the fee come out of it together.

What online reputation management costs in Ghana

Nothing is priced before the audit.

The audit examines the record as it stands and produces the written itemised scope and the fee together.

What moves the number here — how many places carry your name and how far their versions of it have drifted apart, whether there is one location or nine, how much is already published that you would rather were not, whether reviews arrive weekly or twice a year, and whether someone inside your business can be reached quickly when something needs a reply. A single clinic with a tidy listing is a different job from a distributor with eleven branches and four spellings of its own name.

If the work cannot justify the fee, we say so and decline. Our pricing explains what drives cost and quotes nothing.
